The large Enigma Stars were pieced by my grandmother, Ortha Broeker, "years ago". She gave the stars to me to finish as we were looking through her boxes of unfinished projects over Thanksgiving 2002. I put the stars on a black background to show off my grandmother's love of color and then quilted the project. The quilt now travels every few years between my house and my grandma's house in Nebraska.
